Happy Fall and a long overdo post

October means a trip to the pumpkin patch. Corn mazes, pie, and warm cider. The holidays are coming!

I love the colors of Fall. When I did this miniature baking hutch all I could think was yellow. I think red is the perfect color to be with this yellow. Don't you? This hutch makes me so happy! Candy apples and pumpkin pie too!

A miniature bike leaning on the old barn.  Just look at that perfect wicker bike basket created by Lidi Stroud. Check out her etsy shop Basketcase miniatures. We picked sunflowers. I love miniatures!

Old miniature barn aged with time. It is perfectly shabby chic inside. I have some future plans for this one.

I had the best time creating a miniature barn party scene. Don't you just love the little hay bales? This is one of my favorite pictures. It was a very hot morning when I took this pic.

There is always time to squeeze in a new mini kitchen. I painted this one instead of using wallpaper on the walls. I used a Martha Stewart blue and I think the darker wood was the perfect accent to this wonderful blue. Look there is stew on the stove and fresh pie cooling on the counter.

Tiny pumpkin love......
The beauty of Fall is showing itself everywhere. I took this picture on my hike today! I do hope you are finding time to get out and enjoy the color changes. It really is wonderful and so good for the soul. You will be glad you did.

Catching that beauty in miniature has been the best time ever! I hope you have enjoyed my first post  of  Fall. I plan on  trying to be a better blogger. I know I have said it before but all I can do is try! Thanks to those of you who write me emails to encourage me to come back. So nice to know I've been  missed and for you I will try harder. Oh and before I leave you I have to mention that our wonderful Fall miniologie is available @ miniologie.com.  Till next time....

Happy Happy Happy!!!

      I will never stop believing...............

(Mini *ologie ) the art of finding happiness in all things miniature

Fresh and happy!
Say hello to.......Christel Jensen
Never.......
Never give up on your dreams....go out and catch them instead.
Okay.........So where do I begin. I know it has been awhile. I have been a very busy lady for the last year. I know I promised to blog more and it hasn't happened. I do keep a regular post going on facebook though. That's something! Right?
I'm here today to share with you this happy, beautiful little dream called "Miniologie". I joined with 2 other talented artists on this one. Cynthia Sperin and Maritza Moran!!!!! We came together and realized, that we all shared a common dream. You are about to see that dream un- fold.   Have you ever found yourself alone in your mini world with your crazy passion for miniatures?  Or are you one of the lucky ones who has many friends around you who share the same love of miniatures? I turned to the internet many years ago and found so many wonderful friends to share this beautiful hobby with. So glad I did!
Many things in my life have changed but my love for miniatures and miniature decorating never has and I know never will. To have the chance to do this and to put all my love and passion for miniatures in a Seasonal publication,  Wow! A place to share, love and be happy.
Anyone who knows me will tell you I have tons of cookbooks and home magazines. I can't go anywhere without buying one. It really is no surprise to me that I would want to do this. It has been in my mind and many other minds too.  A decorating, inspirational, miniature magazine, done in the different Season's. There is nothing like it. That's what makes it special. We didn't want to do something already being done. It's something new!  I'm thrilled with how this first issue turned out. Just wait till the "Fall" issue.........
So thrilled that the beautiful and talented Christel Jensen joined us in this first "Summer" issue. If you don't know Christel yet, you will after reading her wonderful story about her and her sweet little mice.
Here is the link if you want Miniologie for yourself. http://www.miniologie.com Don't ever give up on your dream's my friends and don't stop believing! If one dream doesn't work out, just keep trying........Mini hugs and love always!

Apron~ology

Tiny aprons make the kitchen complete

Its always nice to match your mixer

for friends to join

Promise of a new day and lots of baking

Fresh baked just for you
So today I have a special treat for you. Do you love aprons? Would you love to have some sweet aprons for your mini kitchen? Well today is your day. I'm going to tell you where.
Just before Christmas I sent a box of super cute and dreamy fabric to my friend Jill Marquis. She had made me some wonderful little aprons before so I knew that was where they needed to go. Did you see the adorable cupcake one. A must have really. Maybe you have some special fabric you would like made into apron. You don't? No worries I sent her plenty to keep many of you happy as you build your mini apron collection. Think you can just have one? I don't think so. These little things are a treat to the eye and will bring a smile to your face :)
Okay......... Here is her etsy store http://www.etsy.com/shop/MarquisMiniatures Now go get your aprons!!! Tell her Kim sent you.  Big hugs and wishes for a happy happy day!

Keep your fork, there's pie!

Can you smell pie from the open window?

So many choices. What's your favorite?

Cherry and blueberry sitting pretty!

But lets not forget the apple

Love........

Where should we start?

Too pretty to cut

Baked for a special friend

Waiting for family to arrive

Today we choose apple

Did you keep your fork? To me, seeing a pie means something wonderful is about to happen. It has always gave me a happy feeling. I guess that's why I love adding them to my miniature scenes. I hope pie gives you a good feeling, when you see it or this post might not make you happy. Remember to be good to yourself and take time to enjoy a little pie. Mini hugs~
